Several of the songs on this album feature a Kawkab Hamza. He is actually a super renowned composer from Iraq. He fled the country when Saddam Hussein insisted on him beeing HIS composer. He came to Denmark and now lives on the outskirts of Copenhagen. We had the privilige of having him recite a poem and even sing on some of our tracks. When he was to go into the booth and do his thing, he always insisted on having a bit of ”white coffee” (read: vodka)...
Even though Paw and I didn’t take part in drinking the ”white coffee” we did manage to make a major mistake, put it on the album and not notice until months later. On the track Humbled by Nature the bassline disappears for seven seconds. It goes away two minutes into the song and then suddenly it’s back on at two minutes and seven seconds. It makes for an… interesting arrangement…
