Yesterday we got the result of the first week of album sales, and it's good news.
We went straight in at #2 - only surpassed by the Mamma Mia soundtrack.
Sure, we hope to achieve reaching the #1 spot, but we ARE grateful. We really are. A huuuuge thank you to all you, who have bought Electric Cabaret.
Also thanks to all you, who have given us feedback on the album. It is interesting for us to know which tracks you like and why. Most of your feedback has been pretty much what we expected, but it has been a surprise that so many of you love the two ballads. Since this is a new area for us, we are relieved and very proud.
As we mentioned the day before yesterday, we have been visiting all the Danish Radio Stations. Some chose to do regular interviews. Some were... creative...
Yesterday at 6:30 we went to Skala FM. We thought we were there for chitchat and a bit of breakfast. In a way this was true, but it was chitchat, breakfast and then some.
They brought us to the harbor and offered us breakfast. 50 meters up in the sky!
The whole thing is something called Dinner in the Sky. You sit 22 people around a table, strapped in chairs that are attached to the table. Then a crane hoists table, chairs and people up in the air and dinner is served. In our case breakfast was served.
Paw didn’t want to dine dangling from a crane, so it was only me who got up there and did an interview.
It was fun, though, and the food was good. I must say that I appreciate that it wasn’t raining and that it wasn’t too windy. Even in good weather, it was sort of cold up there.
See the Pictures Here!
Today we have two gigs and my voice is pretty tired from speaking and speaking and speaking so many hours each day with only five hours sleep each night. I’m looking forward to the performances, though. After talking so much about it, it is nice to get into it. Playing the songs in stead of talking about them. :-)
Talk to you later!
Paw & Lina
I vores tilfælde morgenmad.
Se billederne her!
Vi snakkes!

At the moment we are driving through Denmark, promoting our new album, Electric Cabaret.
We have given soooo many interviews, we have had a feature on Danish National TV Station, TV2 and more is to come.
For you we have uploaded a live recording from Wednesday morning. We performed two songs live, on air when we visited Hit FM and they liked it so much, they sent it to us. We like it so much, we have uploaded it here so you can enjoy it too.

Whenever You Need Me (Acoustic version from HIT FM)
All through this week we will be stopping by more Radio Stations and soon we will have the first chart-results from the sales of Electric Cabaret here in Denmark. We've got our fingers crossed. :-)
If you still haven't bought the album, you can do so right here, right now from our Music Store. Nomatter where you're from!
See Ya!

Ses!

…It’s Sunday! And not just any Sunday. No, this Sunday is a little bit special. Since the end of 2007 we have in many ways been working towards this day. And we have been working hard. Maybe that’s why I’m almost falling asleep in front of the computer, fighting to stay awake.
When you have put a lot of time and effort into achieving specific goals and you rach the finishline – and even do it in ok time – you feel relieved. And then you feel good old fashioned exhausted. :-)
So what goals have we reached in the first half of 2008?
Some of them you may have witnessed and some were of a more ”behind the scenes”-type of nature, but either way the result could be yours in the form of our brand new album, Electric Cabaret that will be released tomorrow. Also we recorded a live dvd this Friday that will be available later this year or in the beginning of 2009.
During the last six months we have written and recorded an album faster and with better focus than ever before. Linas participation as a judge on the Danish X Factor turned out to be a much bigger deal than we expected and we had to postpone the deadline for the album. During the recording-proces we also had to pack up all our equipment and move to a temporary studio at our buddy and writing-partner Adam Powers’ place. The studio we had been working in through a long time became impossible for us to work in because the spaces around us were beeing refurbished and it made so much noise, we couldn’t hear what we were playig or singing or saying.
We have also made the videos for the first three singles to be released off the album, Electric Cabaret and we shot a lot of press pictures and pictures for the album cover during our two trips to NYC, even though we were still working on finishing the album.
We also had this big black cloud hanging over our heads. And it didn’t have the word ”rain” on it. It had the word ”Summer Tour ’08” on it. And it had a neat little by-line saying ”payment for those of our musicians who live off the money they make playing with us”. We knew that we couldn’t start rehearsals for our tour if we didn’t get the album ready on time. That would delay the album for months and months.
So as soon as we wrapped up the album we went straight into working on a brand new show for our tour.
Since May we have had intensive 12-14 hour rehearsals with the band, the dancers, the backingsingers, the stylist and the tailor – not to mention the hours we put into creating a scenography that had it’s own look.
Once again we had obsticles in our way, because the room we were supposed to have our band practice in wasn’t ready on time. We also started promoting our first single and all of it meant less time to get the show ready.
Even though we spent two weeks in production rehearsals, both us and the crew doing our best to make the technical side of things work smoothly, we had show after show with technicals failures and difficulties. So much, we actually concidered calling off the recording of our Live DVD.
Not until last wednesday – two days before the show we wanted to record – we finally decided to go ahead and take a chance and record the show.
It fortunately turned out to be the right thing to do. All 67 people who worked with us Friday to make it all come together did a great job and we have the feeling we will make a lot of you, who aren’t from Denmark very happy. At long last you will be able to see how we make the music work when we perform it live.
Alle the things we wanted to get done before the release of Electric Cabaret, got done. Maybe that’s why I’m both really happy and really tired right now.
Eiher way the hard work and the long hours have been worth it, because we are really happy with the result. We hope you will be too, when you listen to the album tomorrow. :-)
Please stop by to let us know what you think.
All the best
Lina & Paw :-)
